On 15th of June, the meeting of the Gender Equality Working Group (GEWG) of the Investors Council was held.
The head of the Investors Council Secretariat, Mr. Giorgi Cherkezishvili introduced the new Gender Expert Ms. Anna Iluridze to the attendees.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the updated workplan, key focus areas of the GEWG and necessary actions to ensure gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in private sector in Georgia through the active participation in WEE policy making, strengthening the Investors Council’s member organizations around, identification of the investment opportunities that support female entrepreneurship and ensuring that gender is mainstreamed in Investors Council’s activities.
At the end of the discussion, the participants considered upcoming plans, as wells as potential cooperation with the international organizations.
