Presentation of Georgia’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy for 2023-2030

On September 14, 2023, the Investors Council’s members organized a meeting to discuss “Georgia’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy for 2023-2030”. The strategy, developed by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, was approved by the Government of Georgia on August 14, 2023.

The meeting participants included Mr. Guram Guramishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Mr. Alkis Vryenios Drakinos, the EBRD’s new Regional Director for the Caucasus and the representatives of the Investors Council’s member Business Associations and International Financial Institutions.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister and the Ministry’s representatives delivered presentation on Georgia’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy for 2023-2030, which included comprehensive analysis of the existing gaps and challenges in the sector; comprehensive analysis of Georgia’s port, railway, road transport and airport capacity; future needs for investments in the infrastructure and strategic goals, including the action plan (2023-2024) for the strategy’s implementation.
