Conference “Partnerships 4SDGs - Localization of Sustainable Development Goals”

A conference called “Partnerships 4SDGs - Localization of Sustainable Development Goals” was held in Batumi on June 8-9, organized by the UN Global Compact Network Georgia and the Sustainable Development Goals Council, with the support of the Swedish Government. Representatives of private and public sector, as well as of international and donor organizations participated in the conference.

Otar Antia, Green Economy Transition Expert at Investors Council Secretariat was one of the key presenters. Otar spoke about the international best practices in development of the green economy and how to create sustainable development goals. Further on he discussed what so far has been achieved in Georgia and what the challenges are for future development.  He also highlighted the activities initiated by the Investors Council that are focused on the development of the green economy in the country and the creation of a favorable environment for seeking sustainable financing for the business sector.
