The Investors Council’s 22nd meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze was held on March 22, 2024. The Prime Minister made the opening remarks followed by H.E. Mark Clayton, the British Ambassador to Georgia, and Mr. Alkis Vryenios Drakinos, EBRD Regional Director for the Caucasus.
Mr. Giorgi Cherkezishvili, Head of the Investors Council Secretariat briefed the IC members on the progress of all the recent activities and reforms achieved in 2024.
The main topics of the discussion included the development of Georgia’s economy and financial sector, the importance of the Middle Corridor, the issues concerning commercial arbitration and third-party liability insurance. The discussion also touched on Georgia’s EU approximation and the relevant reforms.
