On July 14th, 2023, the 20th meeting of the Investors Council was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili.
The meeting was opened by the Prime Minister, followed by the welcome remarks from the UK Ambassador to Georgia, H.E. Mark Clayton and the EBRD Regional Director for the Caucasus, Ms. Catarina Bjorlin Hansen. Head of the Investors Council Secretariat, Giorgi Cherkezishvili thanked the IC members for the fruitful collaboration and presented the progress of the Investors Council Secretariat’s activities.
During the 20th meeting of the Investors Council, Georgia’s investment perspectives and means to solve existing challenges were discussed.
The topics of the meeting included the international trade facilitation; the incentives for the development of renewable energy sector in Georgia; as well as the involvement of the Investors Council in the current reforms aimed at Georgia's EU integration.
