On November 8, the Business Association of Georgia (BAG) with the support of the Investors Council held a working meeting with the chairmen of the committees of the Parliament of Georgia, where they discussed the issues related to the practical application of the new Law on Entrepreneurs and the implication on the business community.
The participants of the meeting included Mr. Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia; Mr. Mikheil Sarjveladze, Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia; and Mr. Davit Songulashvili, Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
Dr. George Jugeli, the Legal Expert at the Investors Council Secretariat, was among the speakers who spoke about recommendations elaborated by the Investors Council’s Company Law working group and possible changes to the Law on Entrepreneurs.
The members of the Parliament of Georgia and the representatives of the business sector agreed to continue communication, to further discuss the new norms of the law with the relevant state agencies.
