In October 2022, the ICS established the Green Economy Transition working group. The main objective of the Green Economy Transition working group is to discuss challenges and opportunities related to the Green Economy Transition process in Georgia.
The first meeting of the working group was held on November 18, 2022. During the meeting, the ICS presented the preliminary action plan of Green Economy Transition related activities. The meeting participants discussed existing issues and next steps.
Green Economy Transition (GET) is a new direction under the IC. The main aim of the GET is to support development of resilient and low-carbon economy; promote the benefits of the GET among the representatives of the Georgian Private Sector and members of the IC and ensure that NDC obligations and GET targets are well incorporated in the future support measures and interventions of the IC.
